We seek a collaborative, strategic thinker with a track record in curatorial practice, arts programming, and nonprofit management who can build partnerships with artists, museums, schools, and donors.
What you will do:
Responsibility
- Lead the design and execution of contemporary and traditional fine arts exhibitions, installations, and audience engagement programs.
- Oversee curation, interpretation, and cataloging of artworks, ensuring scholarly rigor and accessibility.
- Develop and manage annual program budgets, grant proposals, sponsorships, and fundraising initiatives.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team including curators, educators, and operations staff, fostering professional growth.
- Cultivate partnerships with artists, galleries, universities, and cultural institutions to advance the organization's mission.
- Coordinate artist residencies, symposiums, and public talks to expand community access to art.
- Champion inclusive, diverse representation in exhibitions and education programs.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Fine Arts, Arts Administration, or related field; PhD a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in curatorial or arts program management within nonprofit or museum settings.
- Proven track record in exhibition planning, budget stewardship, and grant writing with successful funding outcomes.
- Strong network with regional and national artists, curators, and arts organizations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills; adept at cross-functional collaboration.
- Commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and community engagement in art programs.
- Proficiency in digital curatorial tools, CMS, CRM, and data-driven program evaluation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with diplomacy and grace.
