Responsibility

  • Lead the curatorial process for rotating exhibitions, including concept development, artist liaison, loan negotiations, and catalog preparation.
  • Plan and supervise installation logistics, lighting, wall text, and signage to ensure optimal presentation.
  • Manage exhibition budgets, scheduling, vendor contracts, insurance, and conservation requirements.
  • Develop community engagement programs, artist talks, workshops, and school partnerships to broaden audience reach.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to produce press materials, catalogs, invitations, and digital content.
  • Oversee visitor services, docent training, and volunteer coordination to deliver exceptional audience experiences.
  • Maintain accurate archiving, loan records, and condition reporting for all artworks in the program.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art History, Museum Studies, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in gallery, museum, or arts administration with exhibition responsibilities.
  • Strong eye for contemporary art and solid curatorial and conceptual thinking.
  • Proven project management, budgeting, and vendor relationship skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with artists, curators, and partners.
  • Proficiency with gallery management software (e.g., ArtLogic, TMS) and MS Office; adept at digital tools and social media.
  • Ability to lift and move artworks as needed and work occasional evenings or weekends for events.
