Lumina Arts Collective is seeking a proactive and strategic Fine Arts Program Manager to lead ambitious exhibitions, artist residencies, and education initiatives in New York City. You will collaborate with curators, educators, and community partners to broaden access to contemporary and traditional fine arts while driving audience growth and organizational impact.
In this full-time role, you will shape program strategy, steward external relationships, and ensure excellence in every facet of implementationāfrom concept through installation and evaluation.
Responsibility
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of exhibitions, residencies, and education programs that align with the organizationās mission.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, risk assessment, and vendor relationships to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate curatorial collaborators, educators, and artists to develop compelling, accessible public programming.
- Oversee installation, conservation, and handling standards for artworks within exhibitions.
- Cultivate partnerships with schools, community groups, and donors to broaden access and support.
- Supervise interns and part-time staff, providing mentorship and performance feedback.
- Measure program impact through attendance metrics, evaluations, and grant reporting; adjust strategy accordingly.
- Prepare grant proposals and reports in collaboration with the development team to support sustainability.
Qualification
- Bachelorās degree in Fine Arts, Arts Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of program management experience in a non-profit, museum, or gallery setting.
- Strong knowledge of art handling, conservation practices, and installation standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with proven donor relations and partnership development.
- Experience with budgeting, CRM systems, and project management tools; proficiency in MS Office and data analysis.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events and installations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Bonus: bilingual in English and Spanish; familiarity with NYC art communities.
