We are seeking an ambitious Fisheries Operations Manager to lead harvest planning, compliance, and team performance. Responsibility
- Lead and optimize harvest planning, scheduling, and allocation across multiple vessels and sites.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including licensing, reporting, and traceability across provincial and federal authorities.
- Manage daily operations, logistics, and inventory to minimize waste and maximize value.
- Develop and mentor a high performing team, set KPIs, implement safety training, and conduct performance reviews.
- Collaborate with supply chain, QA, and sustainability teams to implement best practices and continuous improvement.
- Monitor budgets, control costs, and identify revenue opportunities; report insights to senior leadership.
- Represent the company in stakeholder meetings and industry associations, building strategic partnerships.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Fisheries, Marine Biology, Oceanography, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years in fisheries operations, harvest planning, or aquaculture with proven leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and traceability systems used by DFO and provincial authorities.
- Demonstrated leadership, team development, and safety program management capabilities.
- Data driven decision making with proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; bilingual in English preferred.
- Willingness to travel to coastal sites and offshore platforms as needed.
