Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations of a diverse fleet, ensuring timely deployments and returns.
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule drivers and support staff for optimal productivity.
- Monitor vehicle usage, maintenance, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Implement cost-saving strategies while enhancing service quality and safety standards.
- Analyze performance metrics, deliver reports, and recommend operational improvements.
- Coordinate fleet acquisitions, disposals, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with logistics, dispatch, and customer service teams to meet business objectives.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of transportation or fleet management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Thorough knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with fleet management software and route optimization tools.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL-A preferred.
