Responsibility
- Oversee daily fleet operations ensuring on-time deliveries and operational efficiency.
- Manage driver scheduling, dispatch, and adherence to DOT regulations.
- Optimize asset utilization through route planning and load optimization.
- Develop and implement safety and compliance programs.
- Hire, coach, and evaluate performance of drivers and dispatch staff.
- Analyze KPIs and generate operational reports for leadership.
- Liaise with maintenance teams to ensure optimal fleet condition.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver superior service.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in fleet or logistics operations management.
- Thorough understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and team-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability with route optimization and fleet management software (e.g., Samsara, Geotab).
- Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.
- Proven track record of improving operational KPIs.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
