BlueLine Mobility, a premium transportation and mobility solutions company, is seeking a skilled Transportation Planner to join our Seattle team. You will drive data-driven planning initiatives to improve transit efficiency, last-mile delivery, and urban mobility for our city clients and partners.
In this role you will lead multi-disciplinary projects, analyze traffic and ridership data, develop modeling scenarios, and communicate findings to stakeholders. You will collaborate with city agencies, transit operators, freight partners, and community groups to deliver tangible mobility improvements.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage transportation planning projects from scoping to implementation, ensuring on-time delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Quantify mobility goals using data analytics, GIS, and transportation models to assess options for transit, freight, and active transportation.
- Develop and present clear recommendations to clients and city agencies, including cost-benefit analyses and implementation roadmaps.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, consultants, and community groups to gather input and build consensus.
- Prepare technical reports, travel demand models, and performance dashboards to monitor project outcomes.
- Support grant applications and funding proposals with rigorous data analysis and compelling narratives.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal planning requirements and best practices in sustainable mobility.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning, civil engineering, geography, or related field; master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation planning, traffic analysis, or mobility projects.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), transport modeling software (CUBE, VISUM, TransCAD), and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python/R).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience collaborating with municipal agencies, operators, and community groups; demonstrated stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of federal and local transportation regulations and grant funding processes.
- Project management capability with track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
