UrbanFlow Logistics is seeking a highly qualified Fleet Operations Manager to lead our transportation operations in Chicago. You will oversee fleet performance, route planning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional service while controlling costs.
In this role, you will partner with dispatch, maintenance, safety, and procurement teams to optimize routes, track KPIs, and drive continuous improvement across all transportation activities.

Responsibility
- Oversee daily fleet operations, including dispatch, routing, and performance monitoring to ensure on-time delivery and service quality.
- Develop and implement optimized routing plans to reduce fuel consumption and improve punctuality.
- Monitor driver performance, safety compliance, and vehicle utilization; initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with maintenance, procurement, and vendor partners to ensure vehicle uptime and parts availability.
- Analyze KPI data (on-time delivery, utilization, cost per mile) and report insights to leadership.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with budget targets and service level agreements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field.
- 5+ years in fleet operations or transportation management, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Proven ability to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve service reliability.
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with Excel; experience with BI tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance (FMCSA DOT) and maintenance coordination.
