Responsibility
- Oversee daily forestry operations, including harvest planning and field staff supervision.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement sustainable forest management plans.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
- Coordinate with internal teams on ecological assessments and reforestation initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Utilize GIS and forestry management software for planning and reporting.
- Promote a safety-first culture and adherence to company policies.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience in forestry operations management.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable forestry practices and policies.
- Proficiency in GIS, forest planning, and resource management tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Oregon.
- Safety management certification preferred.
- Experience interfacing with state and federal forestry agencies is a plus.
