EverGreen Forestry Group is hiring a Forestry Project Manager to lead multi-site forest management programs in the Pacific Northwest region. You will drive planning, field execution, and data-driven decisions to sustain healthy forests and deliver on client commitments.
In this role, you will collaborate with ecologists, GIS analysts, and operations teams to implement sustainable harvesting plans, reforestation projects, and compliance reporting. If you are passionate about forestry, data, and people leadership, we want to hear from you.
Responsibility
- Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of forestry projects across multiple sites in coastal BC.
- Oversee field operations, including timber cruising, stand exams, reforestation, and silvicultural treatments.
- Coordinate with GIS and analytics teams to collect, manage, and interpret forest inventory data.
- Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, best practices, and safety standards (provincial safety regulations and WorkSafeBC).
- Develop and manage project schedules, risk registers, and cost controls to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Engage with stakeholders including landowners, Indigenous communities, and regulatory agencies to maintain positive relationships.
- Prepare technical reports, management plans, and presentation materials for clients and governance bodies.
- Mentor and develop field staff, set performance objectives, and optimize field workflows.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive forestry project management experience, with field operations.
- Strong GIS proficiency (ArcGIS, QGIS) and experience with forest inventory and analysis.
- Experience with timber cruising, growth and yield modelling, and silvicultural planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities; capable of managing cross-functional teams.
- Project management certification (PMP) or CPFM/CPFM equivalent is a plus.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; valid driver's license.
