Responsibility
- Lead multi-site forestry projects from design through completion, ensuring deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations with precision.
- Coordinate field surveys, timber inventories, and environmental impact assessments with cross-functional teams.
- Build and sustain relationships with landowners, agencies, contractors, and indigenous communities as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws, best management practices, and certification standards.
- Utilize GIS data and forest metrics to inform decisions and reporting to stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead safety programs and promote a culture of responsible forestry across teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in forestry, environmental science, natural resource management, or related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years of forestry project management or field operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of forest inventory methods, SOPs, and silviculture practices.
- Proficiency with GIS software, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with ability to influence decision-makers.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.
- Willingness to travel regionally as required and adhere to safety standards.
- Certification in forestry or project management is a plus (ISA, SFI, FSC, or PMP).
