Join North Timber Solutions as a Forestry Project Manager in Vancouver, BC. This leadership role blends field operations with strategic planning to deliver sustainable forest management programs.
You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with provincial regulations while fostering strong partnerships with Indigenous communities, government agencies, and stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Lead forestry project planning from scope to execution, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Manage field teams and contractors across multiple project sites with a focus on safety and quality.
- Ensure compliance with BC forestry regulations, environmental standards, and reporting requirements.
- Develop and monitor detailed project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement, including Indigenous communities, government agencies, and local communities.
- Oversee silviculture, harvesting, and reforestation initiatives to promote sustainable forest management.
- Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics for senior leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of forestry project management experience in operations or consulting.
- Strong knowledge of BC forestry practices, environmental regulations, and risk management.
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficient in interpreting technical plans, GIS data, and resource data analysis.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Field safety certifications (First Aid, WHMIS) and a valid driver's license; willingness to travel to project sites.
