Join Evergreen Forestry Group as a Forestry Project Manager and lead sustainable forest management initiatives that protect ecosystems while delivering responsible timber yields. You will oversee field operations, collaborate with conservation partners, and ensure compliance with environmental standards and best practices in timber production.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage forestry projects from initiation to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.
- Develop and implement sustainable forest management plans aligned with certification standards and ecological objectives.
- Coordinate timber harvesting operations with contractors and agencies while minimizing environmental impact.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation; track progress with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
- Collaborate with ecologists, GIS analysts, and field staff to optimize outcomes and monitor forest health.
- Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and presentations for clients and leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of forest management or project management experience in forestry or conservation settings.
- Strong knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, and forestry software (ArcGIS, Trimble, QGIS, etc.).
- Solid understanding of environmental laws and permitting processes; experience with NEPA, ESA, or state-level equivalents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders.
- Proven budget management, scheduling, and vendor/contractor oversight experience.
- Field safety certification (First Aid/CPR or OSHA 10) and willingness to travel as needed.
