Join EverGreen Forestry Solutions, a leading provider of sustainable forest management and conservation services. We are seeking a dynamic Forestry Project Manager to oversee field operations, ecological assessments, and stakeholder collaboration across multiple timberlands in the Vancouver region.
In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with provincial regulations and best practices in sustainable forestry. This is a hands-on leadership role with substantial field time and a focus on delivering measurable environmental and economic results.
Responsibility
- Lead planning and execution of forestry projects from initiation to close, ensuring milestones, safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate field surveys, timber inventory, and ecological assessments with biologists and GIS specialists.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations; monitor cost control and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, permits, and company policies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with Indigenous communities, government agencies, contractors, and clients.
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations to leadership.
- Lead safety programs and training for crews, promoting a culture of incident-free operations.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, environmental science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in forestry or natural resources; PMP/PMI or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable forest management, timber harvesting best practices, and regulatory frameworks in British Columbia.
- Proficiency with GIS, data analysis, and project management software; experience with budget tracking and scheduling tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proven leadership abilities, safety consciousness, and a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Willingness to travel to field sites and adapt to variable field conditions.
