Evergreen Timber & Co. is seeking a results-driven Forestry Project Manager to lead sustainable forest management initiatives across our Oregon operations. This role blends fieldwork, data analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and regulatory compliance to deliver responsible timber harvests and conservation outcomes.
In this role, you will oversee resource assessments, guide field teams, coordinate cross-functional planning, and ensure adherence to certification standards. You will work with landowners, government agencies, and partner organizations to implement strategies that balance productivity with ecological stewardship.

Responsibility
- Lead forest resource assessments, inventories, and stand exams to inform management decisions.
- Plan, schedule, and supervise field crews during timber harvest, reforestation, and thinning activities.
- Develop and monitor short- and long-term forest management plans aligned with certification standards (SFI/ FSC).
- Conduct GIS mapping and data analysis to support harvest scheduling, habitat conservation, and wildfire risk reduction.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; track permits and reporting requirements.
- Engage with landowners, agencies, and Indigenous communities to communicate plans, address concerns, and build partnerships.
- Prepare technical reports, grant applications, and stakeholder presentations; present findings to leadership and clients.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years of forest management or ecological field experience; project management experience a plus.
- Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and data visualization; strong map-making skills.
- Knowledge of timber harvesting methods, silviculture, and reforestation techniques.
- Familiarity with certification standards (SFI, FSC) and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and written/reporting skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work in remote field conditions; willingness to travel.
