Responsibility
- Lead process design and optimization for refinery and gas processing operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and review P&IDs, process simulations, and heat and mass balance calculations to support capital projects.
- Coordinate front-end engineering, detailed design, and commissioning activities with multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform risk assessments including HAZOP, LOPA, and safeguards integrity analyses for new and existing assets.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and vendor communications to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Implement data-driven performance improvements using KPIs and real-time monitoring systems.
- Lead adherence to HSE policies and environmental regulations across sites, promoting a safety-first culture.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with operations to ensure sustainable, reliable operations.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in fossil energy, refining, or gas processing projects.
- Strong proficiency with process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS or Aspen Plus), P&ID development, and HAZOP/HAZID methodologies.
- Demonstrated project management and cross-functional leadership; ability to manage budgets and schedules.
- Solid understanding of process safety, regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA), and environmental stewardship.
- Experience with DCS/SCADA systems and data analytics for operational optimization.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills; professional engineer license preferred.
