TerraNova Energy Partners is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fossil Energy Engineer to join our Houston team. This role focuses on delivering technically rigorous solutions for upstream, midstream, and downstream fossil energy projects, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and value creation across the asset lifecycle.

As a senior member of our engineering group, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize reservoir performance, enhance production workflows, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibility

  • Lead technical design and optimization for fossil energy projects across upstream and midstream segments.
  • Perform reservoir engineering analyses, production forecasting, and optimization studies.
  • Develop and review process safety studies, HAZID/HAZOP, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with operations, drilling, reservoir, and sub-surface teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical risk while communicating progress to leadership.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers; contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical) or related field; master's preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in fossil energy, oil and gas operations, or energy project engineering.
  • Strong background in reservoir engineering, production optimization, and data analytics.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools (Eclipse, Petrel, Prosper, or equivalent) and data visualization platforms.
  • Solid understanding of safety compliance, HSE practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to relocate or travel as required; active work authorization in the United States.
