Join our global energy team as a Senior Petroleum Engineer in Houston, Texas. This pivotal role combines leadership in reservoir engineering with hands-on asset development to maximize value across drilling, completion, and production operations. You will influence technical strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant projects.
As a member of our Upstream Excellence group, you will leverage advanced modeling, data analytics, and industry best practices to optimize reserves, production forecasts, and project economics while upholding the highest HSE standards.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir engineering studies, develop dynamic models, and optimize production forecasting across assets.
- Design, evaluate, and optimize drilling programs, well completions, and intervention strategies.
- Develop material balance analyses, pressure transient analyses, and reserves estimation per SPE PRMS.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and operations teams to maximize asset value.
- Lead techno-economic evaluations and risk assessments for development opportunities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical training and standards development.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
- Interface with vendors and service companies to optimize drilling and completion activities.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of upstream oil and gas experience in reservoir and drilling domains.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation tools (Eclipse, CMG, or similar) and data analytics.
- Strong understanding of well performance, completions, and production optimization.
- Experience with reserves estimation, PVT analysis, and uncertainty quantification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain; familiarity with SPE PRMS is a plus.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel and work on hybrid/on-site schedules as needed.
