TerraNova Energy Solutions is seeking a Senior Fossil Energy Project Engineer to join our high-performance team in Houston. Responsibility
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of fossil energy projects (oil & gas, refining, and thermal power) from concept to commissioning.
- Coordinate with geoscience, process, and mechanical engineering teams to optimize performance, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers; monitor KPIs and deliver on milestones.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance across all phases.
- Manage vendor selection, contracts, and procurement activities; oversee quality assurance and supplier performance.
- Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and design optimization studies to maximize reliability and efficiency.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers; foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering; master's preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fossil energy projects (oil & gas, refining, or power).
- Proven track record in project management, cost control, and schedule delivery.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations, permitting, and environmental impact assessments.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PV Elite, Caesar II) and data analytics.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
