Job description

NorthStar Franchise Group is seeking a results-driven Franchise Development Manager to lead our growth in Canada. This role blends strategic business development with hands-on franchise recruitment, training, and support to build a scalable network of high-performing franchise partners.

In this role, you will identify market opportunities, partner with cross-functional teams, and manage the end-to-end franchise lifecycle—from lead generation to onboarding and ongoing performance optimization.

Responsibility

  • Identify and develop franchise growth opportunities in the assigned territory through market analysis and strategic outreach.
  • Lead end-to-end franchise recruitment, evaluation, and onboarding processes for prospective partners.
  • Design and execute multi-channel recruitment campaigns (digital, events, partnerships, and referrals).
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Operations to ensure compliant approvals and smooth onboarding.
  • Develop training programs and ongoing coaching for new and existing franchisees.
  • Monitor performance metrics, create improvement plans, and forecast regional growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current franchisees to drive retention and performance.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in franchising, franchise sales, or business development.
  • Proven track record in franchise recruitment and multi-unit growth.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Strong CRM and analytics experience (e.g., Salesforce); data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of franchise disclosure, regulatory requirements, and compliance basics.
