Northbridge College of Theology invites applications for a Full-Time Assistant Professor of Theology. The successful candidate will blend rigorous scholarship with a passion for teaching and mentorship, guiding undergraduate and graduate students toward thoughtful faith, rigorous inquiry, and ethical leadership. We seek a scholar deeply committed to excellence in theological study, who can contribute to foundational courses and innovative seminars across biblical studies, historical theology, and contemporary methods. Responsibility
- Teach a balanced load of undergraduate and graduate theology courses, including foundational texts, modern theology, and biblical studies.
- Develop and revise curricula to align with accreditation standards and program goals.
- Mentor students, supervise theses and capstone projects, and provide timely feedback.
- Conduct original research and publish scholarly work in reputable journals or presses.
- Contribute to program assessment, accreditation processes, and strategic planning.
- Participate in departmental, college, and community outreach activities, including interfaith dialogues.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary courses and initiatives.
- Engage in service to the department, college committees, and recruitment efforts.
Qualification
- PhD in Theology or a closely related field from an accredited institution (ABD considered with clear timeline).
- Evidence of effective teaching in higher education and a strong commitment to inclusive pedagogy.
- Scholarly research agenda with potential for peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
- Experience in curriculum development, program assessment, and student mentorship.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to engage diverse student populations.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online or hybrid course design.
- Ability to contribute to a collegial and collaborative department culture.
