PrimeSignature Notary & Legal Services is a premium provider of notarial and document authentication services for individuals and businesses across San Francisco. We are seeking a meticulous and client-focused Notary Public & Signing Agent to join our growing team. This full-time role combines in-person notarizations, remote signing support, and compliance with California notary laws. In this role, you will notarize documents, verify signatures, prepare jurats and acknowledgments, manage scheduling, and maintain accurate records in our secure CRM. You will also educate clients on notarial requirements and ensure all activities comply with state and industry standards.
Responsibility
- Perform accurate notarial acts including acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, and witnessing signatures in compliance with California notary laws.
- Review and verify identification, document integrity, and signatory authority to prevent fraud.
- Prepare, complete, and affix notarial certificates and record pertinent details in our secure system.
- Coordinate scheduling of notarial services, including mobile appointments when needed.
- Provide exceptional client service, explaining notary requirements and answering questions with professionalism and discretion.
- Maintain meticulous records and ensure confidentiality in all notarized documents.
- Stay updated on changes to notary laws, industry standards, and compliance practices through ongoing training.
- Collaborate with attorneys, lenders, and title companies to facilitate smooth signing experiences.
Qualification
- Current California Notary Public commission in good standing; Notary Signing Agent certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of notarization experience with high-volume clientele.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and data entry skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities; professional appearance and demeanor.
- Familiarity with common legal documents (deeds, affidavits, power of attorney, and loan documents).
- Proficiency with notary software, CRM systems, and secure file handling; ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable schedule with flexibility to cover signing appointments during evenings, weekends, or mobile visits as needed.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States; clean background check as required by law.
