Join Lumina Studio NYC, a premier photography studio specializing in fashion, portraits, and commercial campaigns. We’re seeking a talented Photographer to lead high-end shoots, collaborate with art directors, and deliver compelling visuals that drive brand narratives. This role blends creative vision with technical mastery, requiring a strong portfolio and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
In this position you will work onsite in our Manhattan studio and on-location shoots across the metro area. You’ll manage lighting, composition, and direction, while upholding brand standards and tight production timelines. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and demonstrates excellence in both photography and post-production.
Responsibility
- Lead and execute commercial photography sessions across fashion, campaigns, and lifestyle projects.
- Collaborate with art directors, stylists, and clients to align on creative direction and deliverables.
- Plan lighting setups, camera angles, and shot lists to optimize production efficiency.
- Capture high-quality images on set and on-location, ensuring technical excellence and consistency.
- Post-process images in Lightroom, Photoshop, and Capture One; perform color grading and retouching as required.
- Maintain and organize studio equipment, props, and inventory; manage on-set safety and logistics.
- Deliver final images in client-ready formats, with appropriate metadata and archiving practices.
- Mentor junior photographers and contribute to internal creative reviews.
Qualification
- 3+ years of professional photography experience, preferably in fashion, product, or editorial photography.
- Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, and professional lighting equipment (strobe, continuous, modifiers).
- Advanced post-production skills in Lightroom, Photoshop, and color management; knowledge of Capture One a plus.
- A strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating range, storytelling, and technical mastery.
- Excellent communication, project management, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for composition, color, and nuance in retouching.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to client needs.
- Willingness to travel within the tri-state area for shoots as required.
