Lumina Fine Arts Collective is seeking a dynamic Gallery Curator & Arts Education Specialist to lead our exhibition program and engage diverse communities through education initiatives. Based in New York City, this role blends curatorial leadership with hands-on program development to showcase contemporary and historical fine art.
As a key member of our curatorial team, you will shape the gallery's voice, collaborate with artists, lenders, conservators, and partner institutions, and drive audience engagement through innovative public programs, talks, and school partnerships.

Responsibility
- Lead the conception, research, and delivery of rotating exhibitions and site-specific installations, including artwork selection, cataloging, and wall text.
- Oversee loan negotiations, insurance, conservation coordination, packing, and transportation in collaboration with lenders and conservators.
- Design and implement arts education programs, gallery talks, tours, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
- Develop and manage exhibition budgets, timelines, and project scopes; coordinate with vendors and partners.
- Collaborate with marketing, development, and communications teams to promote exhibitions and secure sponsorships.
- Build and maintain relationships with artists, collectors, curators, and institutions; oversee artist-in-residence activities where applicable.
- Ensure accessible and inclusive exhibition design and programming for diverse audiences.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art History, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years in curatorial practice, gallery management, or museum context.
- Proven track record in exhibitions planning, acquisitions, and loan negotiations.
- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Experience with budgets, grants, fundraising, and sponsorship cultivation.
- Knowledge of art handling, conservation, installation methods, and risk management.
- Proficiency with collections management software, digital catalogs, and standard office tools; comfort with social media and marketing platforms.
