Join Lumina Art Gallery, a leading contemporary fine arts space in the heart of New York City. We are seeking a strategic, creative Gallery Curator to shape exhibitions, acquisitions, and public programs that elevate artists and engage diverse audiences.
As a Gallery Curator, you will collaborate with artists, collectors, lenders, and institutions to deliver exhibitions that resonate with a global audience while maintaining the highest standards of scholarship and presentation.

Responsibility
- Develop and execute exhibition concepts from ideation through installation, including cataloging and wall text.
- Oversee loan agreements, acquisitions, conservation coordination, and condition reporting.
- Collaborate with artists, lenders, dealers, and institutions to curate innovative programs.
- Write exhibition labels, wall texts, press releases, and other communications.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and gallery calendar; coordinate with registrars and operations.
- Cultivate relationships with collectors, patrons, and media; assist with fundraising and sponsorship opportunities.
- Plan and participate in educational programs, tours, and artist talks to enhance audience engagement.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Museology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of curatorial or gallery experience, preferably in contemporary art.
- Strong knowledge of global art markets, artists, and current exhibition practices.
- Excellent research, writing, editing, and communication skills; ability to synthesize complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proven project management and budgeting abilities; proficiency with exhibition coordination software and collections databases.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments and with external partners.
- Travel flexibility for loans, residencies, and international collaborations.
