Lumina Gallery is seeking a dynamic Gallery Director to lead our fine arts program in New York City. This leadership role oversees curatorial strategy, exhibitions, and artist relations, while driving audience engagement and sales in a fast-paced cultural environment.

Responsibility
- Develop and execute curatorial strategy and annual exhibition calendars that align with the gallery's vision and market demand.
- Oversee all gallery operations, including installation, preservation, inventory management, and safety compliance.
- Build and maintain relationships with artists, collectors, institutions, media, and partners to foster growth and visibility.
- Lead event programming, openings, donor receptions, and public talks to maximize audience engagement and sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with Finance and Marketing to plan budgets, pricing strategies, and revenue targets.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, interns, and contractors; delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Ensure ethical practices, standards for art handling, and compliance with provenance and authenticity guidelines.
Qualification
- Bachelor's in Art History, Fine Arts, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a gallery, museum, or arts nonprofit with leadership exposure.
- Strong curatorial vision with the ability to articulate concepts to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; fluency in English required.
- Proven track record in sales, fundraising, or grant writing; experience with donor relations a plus.
- Solid knowledge of art handling, conservation basics, installation standards, and art market trends.
- Proficiency with gallery management software, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms.
