Join Lumina Gallery Collective, a leading contemporary fine arts institution in New York City. We are seeking a proactive Gallery Manager to drive operations, exhibitions, and community engagement that elevate artists and enrich audiences.
As a key member of our team, you will curate rotating exhibitions, coordinate installations, manage budgets, and collaborate with artists, curators, and donors to ensure exceptional visitor experiences.
Responsibility
- Oversee all gallery operations including front of house, security, and maintenance.
- Plan and coordinate the exhibition calendar from concept to installation.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships; monitor expenses and timelines.
- Collaborate with artists, curators, educators on program development and interpretation.
- Lead marketing, outreach, and events to grow audience, memberships, and support.
- Coordinate donor relations, sponsorships, and fundraising initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, accessibility, and professional standards for exhibitions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Arts Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years in gallery operations, curation, or arts administration.
- Strong project management, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of art handling, conservation ethics, and risk management.
- Proficiency with gallery management software, CRM tools, and MS Office; familiarity with social media.
- Passion for contemporary art and community engagement with a collaborative mindset.
