Lumina Arts Collective invites applications for a Gallery Registrar & Fine Arts Curatorial Assistant in our New York City gallery. This role blends cataloging, logistics, and curatorial support to ensure accurate records, safe handling, and compelling exhibitions.
In this position you will work across operations, curatorial, and collections teams to maintain the integrity of works across a diverse program of exhibitions and loans.

Responsibility
- Maintain and update the gallery catalog with accurate metadata, provenance, and condition notes for all works.
- Schedule and prepare artworks for exhibitions and deinstallations, coordinating transport, insurance, and crating.
- Conduct regular condition assessments, capture high quality images, and manage conservation documentation.
- Receive, check, and document incoming artworks, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Collaborate with curators, directors, and lenders to support research and public programming.
- Manage loan agreements, documentation, and return logistics; maintain meticulous records.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art History, Museum Studies, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
- 2-4 years of experience in gallery, museum, or fine arts administration.
- Strong knowledge of art handling standards, conservation practices, and condition reporting.
- Proficiency with art databases such as Artlogic, TMS, or AtoM and MS Office; basic photo editing is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work collaboratively in a team and with lenders.
- Availability for occasional travel or after hours events as needed.
