We are seeking a versatile maintenance professional to provide reliable repair, maintenance, and installation services across multiple trades. In this role you will handle tasks spanning plumbing, electrical, carpentry, minor construction works, and painting. You will inspect facilities, diagnose issues, perform repairs, install fixtures, and assist with small projects to maintain safe, functional, and visually appealing spaces. The ideal candidate is hands on, detail oriented, safety minded, and capable of prioritizing a busy queue of tasks while delivering quality workmanship.

As a General Handyman at Pride-Chem, you will play a critical role in keeping our facilities, equipment, and property in prime condition. This is a hands on position that values practical skills, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to problem solving. You will work under the facilities team to support daily operations and participate in improvement projects that enhance reliability and efficiency.
Key focus areas include preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and installations across multiple trades. You will work on plumbing repairs such as leak fixes and fixture replacements, basic electrical tasks like wiring assistance and fixture installation under guidance, carpentry work including door and cabinet repairs, minor construction, and painting to refresh spaces. You will also assist with site safety inspections and ensure tools and materials are well organized and properly stored.

Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks to keep facilities in optimal condition.
- Diagnose faults, repair, install fixtures, and support minor construction projects with quality workmanship and safety.
- Install and replace fixtures and equipment; assist with basic electrical tasks under supervision.
- Carry out painting, carpentry, door and cabinet repairs, and small-scale construction as assigned.
- Inspect equipment and facilities, document issues, and escalate major problems to the supervisor as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and manage tools and materials inventory.
- Coordinate with facilities and operations teams to schedule tasks with minimal disruption.
- Adhere to safety policies, use PPE, and report hazards promptly.
Qualification
- Proven experience as a handyman or general maintenance worker; trades background preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and minor construction.
- Ability to read simple drawings or sketches and follow instructions; basic math and measurement skills.
- Hands-on, reliable, and detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects; flexible and adaptable to different tasks.
- Safety-conscious with familiarity with PPE and proper tool handling.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; able to manage time effectively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving maintenance needs.
