Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of common acute and chronic illnesses.
- Perform preventive care, risk assessments, and patient education to optimize health outcomes.
- Coordinate with specialists, hospitals, and care teams; document actions and plan in the electronic health record.
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and imaging; initiate treatment plans with patient-centered goals.
- Manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and obesity with evidence-based strategies.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to practice guidelines and safety standards.
- Participate in on-site or after-hours coverage as needed by the scheduling model.
Qualification
- Medical degree from an accredited US medical school (MD or DO).
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or General Medicine.
- Active California medical license or eligibility; ability to obtain and maintain licensure.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in primary care or recent completion of residency/fellowship.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, team-based environment.
