Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive medical care for adult patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement patient-centered care plans, with emphasis on preventive medicine and chronic disease management.
- Perform routine procedures and coordinate with specialists as needed for complex cases.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and ensure high-quality clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with nurses, coordinators, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, performance reviews, and continuing medical education.
- Contribute to after-hours and on-call coverage as required by the clinic policy.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and treatment plans.
Qualification
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active New York State medical license or eligibility; valid DEA registration.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in general medicine or outpatient primary care (flexible for residents).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and digital health tools; strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and provide excellent continuity of care.
- BLS/ACLS certification and commitment to ongoing professional development.
