Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive medical evaluation, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic illnesses in adult patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, monitor patient progress, and adjust care as needed.
- Document all encounters thoroughly in the electronic health record (Epic or equivalent).
- Coordinate care with specialists, allied health professionals, and hospital services to ensure seamless patient experiences.
- Engage in preventive care, patient education, and counseling to promote long-term health outcomes.
- Participate in hospital committees, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching activities as needed.
Qualification
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school; board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active medical license to practice in New York; eligibility for hospital privileges.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical practice in general internal medicine or primary care.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills; patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EPIC preferred) and modern clinical tools.
- Experience managing diverse adult populations; commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Willingness to participate in on-call or shared rotation as required by department needs.
