Responsibility
- Provide high-quality primary care to adult patients in outpatient and urgent-care settings.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses using evidence-based approaches.
- Develop personalized care plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and coordinate referrals to specialists.
- Collaborate with nurses, physician assistants, and subspecialists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Lead preventive care initiatives, patient education, and wellness programs.
- Participate in rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement activities as needed.
- Document care in the EMR with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Mentor medical students and residents as part of the teaching mission of the department.
Qualification
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school; board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active medical license or eligibility to obtain Massachusetts license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine or primary care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and commitment to quality improvement
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative multidisciplinary team
