Job description

Harborview Medical Partners is seeking a General Medicine Physician to join our expanding primary care team in Boston, MA. This patient‑centered role requires clinical excellence, strong communication, and a commitment to preventive care for a diverse patient population.

Responsibility

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits.
  • Conduct routine examinations, order and interpret tests, and develop evidence‑based treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and care coordinators to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Document patient encounters accurately using an advanced EMR (Epic preferred).
  • Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and respiratory diseases; adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in population health programs.
  • Engage in patient education and preventive counseling to promote lasting wellness.
  • Participate in after‑hours or weekend on‑call rotations as needed within a supportive team structure.

Qualification

  • MD or DO degree; board‑certified or board‑eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Active medical license in Massachusetts or eligible for licensure; ability to obtain licensure in a timely manner.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and patient‑centered approach.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred); strong documentation and data‑driven care.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced outpatient environment with strong time management skills.
  • BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
