Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive general medicine care to adults, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Coordinate with specialists and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes and continuity of care.
- Document clinical findings, care plans, and encounter notes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on treatment options, self-management strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
- Lead or participate in quality improvement, performance metrics, and patient safety initiatives.
- Participate in after-hours coverage or on-call rotation as required by clinic schedules.
Qualification
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school; board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active medical license to practice in New York; eligibility for hospital privileges if applicable.
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in general/internal medicine in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telemedicine platforms; strong documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-centered care approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, urban clinical environment and with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to continuing medical education and evidence-based practice.
