Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in outpatient and inpatient settings, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust therapies based on clinical response and guidelines.
- Order, interpret, and coordinate diagnostic tests; consult with specialists; manage referrals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record, ensuring coding compliance and data integrity.
- Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals, and care teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and evidence-based practice updates.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle changes.
Qualification
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active California medical license or eligibility; current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical practice in General Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic or similar) and strong documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with complex cases and diverse patient populations.
