EarthCore Geoscience is seeking a skilled Geologist to join our Denver team. This full-time position offers opportunities to work on diverse mineral exploration, environmental, and geotechnical projects with a client-focused approach.
As a Geologist, you will apply field mapping, data integration, and geological modeling to deliver actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and mentor junior staff while advancing your career in a dynamic, safety-driven environment.
Responsibility
- Conduct field geological mapping, sampling, logging, and core logging to characterize rock units and structures
- Interpret and integrate geological data from field notes, lab analyses, and remote sensing to produce high-quality reports
- Prepare stratigraphic sections, cross-sections, and preliminary 3D models using GIS and modeling software
- Assist with mineral exploration programs, drill planning, and site investigations
- Coordinate with environmental, hydrogeology, and geotechnical teams to ensure project success
- Manage field data collection, QA/QC, and documentation in compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Present findings to clients and colleagues, translating complex geology into actionable recommendations
- Support mentorship and training for interns and junior staff
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences; Master’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of field and office experience in geological mapping, exploration, and data analysis
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS) and geological modeling software; strong data interpretation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing, and presentation abilities
- Ability to travel to field sites, valid driver license, and willingness to work in remote or challenging environments
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, safety standards, and environmental regulations
- Experience with rock core logging, sample management, and laboratory coordination is a plus
