In this role, you will design and execute exploration strategies, supervise field teams, assess drill cores and rock samples, and translate findings into actionable models and client-ready reports. Responsibility
- Conduct field-based geological mapping and sampling across project sites to delineate lithology and structure.
- Analyze drill cores, rock samples, petrographic data, and geophysical surveys to support resource estimation and modeling.
- Develop and implement exploration plans, drill programs, and sample strategies in collaboration with operations teams.
- Prepare technical reports, geologic maps, cross sections, and 3D models (GIS-based) for clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineers, environmental specialists, and safety teams to de-risk projects and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior geologists and interns, review work products, and lead field safety trainings.
- Present findings to clients, participate in permit applications, and support business development activities.
- Manage field logistics, data integrity, and QA/QC procedures across multiple sites.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related field; PhD preferred for advanced roles.
- Minimum 5 years of applied experience in mineral exploration, mining geology, or hydrogeology.
- Proficient field mapping, core logging, rock identification, and sedimentological interpretation.
- Strong GIS skills (ArcGIS and QGIS) and experience with geological modeling software (Leapfrog, Move) and data analysis.
- Experience with resource estimation frameworks (JORC, NI 43-101) and professional reporting standards.
- Proven ability to lead field teams, manage budgets and logistics, and uphold health and safety standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, technical report writing, and client-facing presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel to remote sites, valid driver's license, and legal work authorization in the United States.
