TerraNova Geoscience is seeking a motivated Geologist to join our Denver-based exploration team. This full-time role offers a dynamic environment where field and office work converge to deliver high-impact geoscience insights.
As a Geologist, you will contribute to field mapping, data collection, interpretation, and modeling across mineral, groundwater, and civil projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver timely, data-driven recommendations to clients and stakeholders while advancing your career in a supportive, safety-focused environment.
Responsibility
- Lead field-based geological mapping, logging, and sample collection on assigned projects.
- Develop cross sections and preliminary geological models using GIS and geospatial data.
- Interpret stratigraphy and lithology to support resource estimation and project planning.
- Coordinate with engineers, hydrologists, and clients to ensure data quality and timely reporting.
- Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in site investigations, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master degree in Geology or Earth Sciences from an accredited program.
- 5+ years of field geology or related experience; strong field background preferred.
- Solid knowledge of sedimentology, stratigraphy, rock identification, and structural geology.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and data analysis; experience with geological modeling software is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; experience preparing client-ready reports.
- Ability to work in rugged field conditions, travel to project sites, and adhere to safety protocols.
