Responsibility
- Conduct field mapping and geological logging of rock, soil, and mineral samples.
- Collect, organize, and interpret geologic data using GIS and related software.
- Plan and execute field campaigns with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze drill cores, samples, and logs; prepare logs and maps for clients.
- Prepare technical reports, figures, and maps for stakeholders and permitting agencies.
- Support environmental baseline studies, groundwater assessments, and mining-related projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hydrology, engineering, and environmental scientists.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and robust data management practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field; master's preferred.
- 2+ years of geological field experience; internships and co-ops considered.
- Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS) and data analysis.
- Experience with rock/soil sampling, logging, and core description.
- Familiarity with drilling programs, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prepare clear technical reports.
- Proficiency in MS Office; scripting or Python experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in field conditions, travel within region as needed; valid driver's license.
