Nexa Geoscience & Exploration is seeking a motivated Geologist to join our dynamic team in the Pacific Northwest. In this role, you will contribute to exploration, mapping, and land-use assessments across diverse terrains, from sedimentary basins to volcanic fields.
As a primary field and office-based geologist, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to collect, analyze, and interpret geologic data, create high-quality maps and reports, and support project proposals and regulatory permitting.
Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with field logging, core sampling, GIS analysis, and rock/soil characterization. A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Responsibility
- Plan and execute geological field programs, including sampling, trenching, and logging.
- Collect and analyze rock, soil, and core samples; maintain meticulous data logs.
- Build and maintain GIS-based geological maps, cross-sections, and 3D models.
- Interpret stratigraphy, structure, mineralogy, and hydrogeology to support exploration and environmental assessments.
- Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for clients, permitting agencies, and internal teams.
- Conduct data quality checks, ensure compliance with HSE policies, and manage field logistics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
Qualification
- BSc or MSc in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field; MS preferred.
- 2+ years of field and office-based geology experience; mining, energy, or environmental projects a plus.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), data management, and geospatial analysis.
- Experience with core logging, sampling, laboratory preparation, and mineralogical analysis.
- Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills; ability to convey complex data to diverse audiences.
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel to field sites and work in varying weather conditions.
