TerraNova Geosciences is seeking a motivated Geologist to join our Denver-based team. The successful candidate will contribute to field mapping, subsurface interpretation, and client-focused deliverables across exploration, environmental, and geotechnical projects. Responsibility
- Conduct field-based geological mapping, sampling, and logging of rock and soil formations in various terrains.
- Plan and supervise borehole drilling programs and core logging to inform resource assessments.
- Analyze geological data using GIS and specialized software; produce maps and cross-sections for reports.
- Prepare technical reports, interpret stratigraphy, mineralization, and hydrogeological conditions for clients and regulators.
- Collaborate with exploration, environmental, and geotechnical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Manage field logistics, health and safety, data quality control, and project documentation.
- Present findings to clients and stakeholders; support permitting, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of geological field experience; exploration or mining background preferred.
- Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS), mapping, data management, and rock/mineral identification.
- Experience with core logging, sampling, lab submission, and familiarity with XRF/XRD is a plus.
- Strong analytical, report writing, and presentation skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work in field conditions, physically fit, and hold a valid driver's license; willingness to travel.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols, permitting processes, and QA/QC procedures.
