TerraNova Geosciences is seeking a motivated Geologist to join our interdisciplinary team in Denver. This full-time role focuses on field-based exploration, environmental assessment, and subsurface analysis across diverse projects with leading clients in mining, energy, and infrastructure.
You will contribute to all phases of project work, from planning and field campaigns to data interpretation and reporting, while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibility
- Field mapping and sampling of rock, soil, and groundwater materials
- Subsurface data collection, logging, and interpretation for geological models
- Integration of GIS, geochemical, and geophysical data to support project objectives
- Supervising field crews and coordinating logistics for expeditions
- Preparing technical reports, maps, and presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including mining engineers, environmental scientists, and hydrologists
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- 3-5 years of professional geology field experience
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), mapping software, and data visualization
- Experience in rock core logging, stratigraphy, and mineral exploration
- Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulatory frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear technical reports
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel/fieldwork as needed
