TerraNova Geosciences, a premier environmental and geological consulting firm, is seeking a motivated Geologist to join our Denver team. This full-time role focuses on field mapping, data interpretation, and collaborative project work across mineral resource and environmental projects.
As a Geologist, you will contribute to site assessments, core logging, GIS analysis, and robust reporting that informs exploration strategies and environmental stewardship.
Responsibility
- Lead field-based geological mapping and sampling campaigns in multiple terrains.
- Perform core logging, stratigraphic description, and mineralogical observations.
- Analyze geologic data using GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and standard software.
- Prepare technical deliverables including maps, cross-sections, and reports for clients and regulators.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on exploration and environmental projects.
- Assist with QA/QC of field data, rock descriptions, and database management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards during fieldwork.
- Present findings to internal teams and clients; support proposal development.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 2+ years of field geology experience in exploration, mining, or environmental projects.
- Proficiency in geological mapping, core logging, and stratigraphy.
- Strong GIS skills (ArcGIS, QGIS); experience with rock description and mineralogy.
- Ability to work independently in the field and within teams; strong communication skills.
- Valid driver's license; willingness to travel to field sites as required.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental permitting processes.
- Experience with data management and technical report writing.
