TerraNova Geosciences is seeking a motivated Geologist to join our interdisciplinary team in Denver, Colorado. This role combines field exploration, rock logging, and data-driven analysis to support mineral resource assessments, environmental site investigations, and research projects.
As a key member of our field and office teams, you’ll work on challenging projects for clients across energy, mining, and environmental sectors, with opportunities for professional growth and field leadership.
Responsibility
- Conduct field-based geological mapping, rock sampling, and logging in diverse terrains.
- Plan and execute borehole surveys, soil sampling, and geotechnical investigations.
- Analyze field data using GIS and standard geological software; prepare interpretive maps and reports.
- Contribute to environmental assessments, permitting, and impact studies.
- Collaborate with senior geologists on mineral resource estimations and exploration strategies.
- Assist in quality control of laboratory analyses, sample preparation, and data management.
- Ensure compliance with safety, permitting, and regulatory requirements during field operations.
- Prepare clear, client-ready technical reports and presentations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 2+ years of geology-focused field experience in mineral exploration, environmental geology, or hydrogeology.
- Proficient in GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS) and data analysis; familiarity with rock identification and stratigraphy.
- Experience with logging, sampling, data management, and report writing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally.
