What you’ll do:
- Lead geological mapping, sampling programs, and core logging in active field campaigns.
- Design and implement exploration strategies in collaboration with project teams and clients.
- Analyze geological data, create stratigraphic models, and support resource estimation efforts.
- Mentor junior geologists, interns, and field technicians to ensure safety and quality.
- Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentation materials for clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibility
- Plan and execute field campaigns including mapping, sampling, and logging of geological specimens.
- Develop geological models and integrate GIS data to support exploration decisions.
- Lead data collection, quality control, and interpretation of surface and subsurface information.
- Prepare technical reports, maps, and briefings for clients, regulators, and management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (geophysicists, engineers, and environmental scientists) to optimize project outcomes.
- Mentor and supervise field crews, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
- Support training programs and contribute to business development efforts through technical leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of professional geoscience experience in exploration or resource development.
- Strong field mapping, stratigraphy, sedimentology, and petrology skills.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) and geostatistical analysis; experience with geological modeling software.
- Experience with drilling programs, core logging, and sample handling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex results to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated project management and mentoring abilities.
- Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork in remote locations as required.
