TerraNova Geoscience Solutions, a premier provider of geoscience consulting and field services, is seeking a motivated Geologist to join our Denver team.
In this role, you will combine field observations with lab analyses to solve complex geological challenges for mining, environmental, and infrastructure clients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality reports, maps, and risk assessments.

Responsibility
- Conduct detailed field mapping, stratigraphic logging, and rock core analysis during field campaigns.
- Collect, prepare, and ship samples; maintain chain-of-custody and QA/QC procedures.
- Analyze data using GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) and geostatistical tools; produce technical maps and cross-sections.
- Prepare technical reports, memos, and presentation materials for clients and regulators.
- Collaborate with hydrogeologists, environmental scientists, and engineers on project planning and risk assessment.
- Support regulatory compliance, permitting, and permit renewals; ensure safety and environmental standards.
- Mentor junior staff and interns; contribute to business development and proposal writing.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years field geology experience; mining, hydrogeology, or environmental geology background.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) and data analysis; knowledge of sedimentology and petrology is a plus.
- Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills; client-facing experience preferred.
- Ability to perform fieldwork in diverse terrain and weather; physically capable of lifting equipment and traversing rugged terrain.
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to project sites up to 25-40% of time.
- Professional Geologist (P.G.) licensure or ability to obtain within 1-2 years preferred.
