In this role you will collaborate with data scientists, researchers, and operations teams to deliver accurate weather predictions, risk assessments, and decision-ready briefings for sectors such as aviation, energy, and maritime.
You will drive model evaluation, develop forecasting workflows, and ensure the highest standards of quality and timeliness in forecasts and reports.

Responsibility
- Lead the development and validation of numerical weather prediction models and ensembles.
- Produce high-quality, decision-ready forecasts and client briefs.
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate observational data and remote sensing.
- Implement quality control and performance tracking for modeling systems.
- Present findings to stakeholders and advise on risk mitigation.
- Mentor junior meteorologists and provide technical guidance.
- Publish or contribute to internal white papers and external research.
- Represent the company at conferences and client meetings.
Qualification
- Master's degree in meteorology, atmospheric sciences, or related field; PhD preferred.
- 5+ years of operational meteorology experience or research in numerical weather prediction.
- Strong programming skills in Python and MATLAB; experience with R is a plus.
- Experience with data formats such as NetCDF and GRIB; familiarity with data assimilation and ensemble forecasting.
- Proficiency in data visualization and GIS tools (Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, ArcGIS).
- Excellent communication and ability to convey complex results to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work across time zones and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- AMS CCM or equivalent certification is a plus.
