As a Geologist, you will contribute to data-driven decisions by integrating field observations with laboratory analyses and geospatial data.
Responsibility
- Conduct field-based geological mapping, sampling, and core logging to support exploration and development projects.
- Collect and manage field data using GIS tools and standardized data protocols; ensure data quality and traceability.
- Interpret geological data to prepare initial resource estimates and contribute to technical reports.
- Collaborate with geophysicists, engineers, and environmental teams to integrate multi-disciplinary findings.
- Assure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies during field activities.
- Prepare technical deliverables including maps, cross-sections, and figures for client and regulatory reports.
- Mentor junior staff and interns in field procedures, data recording, and safety practices.
- Present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders, contributing to project proposals and planning.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field; master's preferred.
- 2+ years of geological field experience, preferably in mineral or hydrocarbon exploration.
- Strong knowledge of GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and familiarity with borehole/log data and core analysis.
- Proficient in geology map interpretation, stratigraphy, and structural geology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to prepare clear technical reports.
- Ability to work in remote field locations, comply with safety regulations, and manage field logistics.
- Valid driver's license; willingness to travel as needed.
