Join TerraNova Geoscience, a premier geology firm delivering rigorous mineral exploration programs for global clients. We are seeking a results-driven Geologist to lead field investigations, map complex terrains, and contribute to resource delineation and environmental stewardship.
As a Geologist on our Denver-based team, you will plan and execute field campaigns, collect samples, log drill cores, interpret lithology and structural features, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust geological models and timely reports.
Responsibility
- Plan and execute field campaigns, including geological mapping, sampling, and core logging, in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage drill-core logging, sample QA/QC, and data entry into geological databases and project files.
- Perform structural interpretation, lithology correlation, and GIS-based mapping to support deposit models.
- Collaborate with engineers, GIS specialists, and project managers to develop resource estimates and reporting packages.
- Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and client presentations that articulate geological concepts and resource potential.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies during fieldwork and site visits.
Qualification
- B.S. in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field; M.S. preferred with 3+ years of mineral exploration experience.
- Strong field mapping, stratigraphic correlation, core logging, and sample collection skills.
- Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS) and geoscience data management; basic knowledge of geostatistics is a plus.
- Experience with drill programs, logging codes, QA/QC procedures, and resource estimation workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear reports and present findings to clients and regulators.
- Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork in remote or challenging environments; valid driver’s license required.
